Yorkshire and the Humber has the fastest growing digital sector in the UK outside London, expected to grow by 30% year on year, and is recognised as a centre of excellence for the creative digital industries.

Reports have shown that there are significant skills shortages at level 3 within ICT and at higher levels (4+) within games and digital media. These skills shortages will be exacerbated further as new technologies develop and international competition increases.

It is essential that we plan for the future and invest in the skills of our workforce in order for the sector to capitalise on the key growth areas including Games, Digital Media, E-Learning and ICT Infrastructure.
