I am delighted to invite you to the next Culture Sector Group meeting at Broadcasting Place in Leeds.
Following our recent interesting sessions with Leeds City Region and looking at strategic priorities and issues within the Creative Content Industries, I am pleased to be able to welcome Dan Kudla, Business Development Officer of Leeds City Council who will be presenting hot off the press the results of the survey of the creative industries from across Leeds '2011 Assessment – The Creative Industries in Leeds’. Whilst this is Leeds based, it will be interesting to look at trends, issues and approaches to collating this data and how this can be applied elsewhere, how it can be used for policy, advocacy, potential initiatives and programmes. The second part of the meeting will be a discussion on the future of this group within the new partnership structure. This will be the last Sector Group meeting of the official WYLLN programme and I want to personally thank everyone who has been involved, supported the programme and inspired me and others over the last 3 years. You have been fabulous to work with! I specifically would like to thank Professor Chris Bailey, who has chaired the group from its inception with brilliance, clarity and generosity.Finally, if you could let me know if you are able to join us, I may bake some buns.
