CIDA - A Competency and Qualifications framework for the Creative Sector in West Yorkshire
CIDA and the Culture, Media, Sports and the Arts; Leisure, Hospitality and Tourism Sector Group are running a Pilot Programme to test the applicability and usefulness of a Competency Framework for the region's Creative Sector.
CIDA are using Creative Entrepreneurs as their test discipline and the objective is to identify the knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviours required of successful creative independent practitioners.
The competency units are being designed in close consultation with freelancers in the region and will be developed into full competency standards. Amongst other uses, the competencies will help WYLLN HE partners in their design of future courses but they can also be used to improve work-based learning.
