Qualification Framework
There are many types of courses available in education institutions throughout West Yorkshire. The National Qualification Framework defines each type of course with a level from 1-8.
Higher skills are the specialist knowledge or competencies required to be proficient in intermediate and higher level jobs. They are developed through Higher Education qualifications and training at level 4 and above.
Qualifications may be academic and theoretical learning, vocational or work-based learning. Typical Qualifications for each level can be found in the course map. Click on the title of each qualification to find out more information.
