If you are interested in having your say in expoloring how the WYLLN can contribute to the delivery of the Skills Strategy in the Leeds City Region, we'd like to see you at this half day event on the 19th March at the Galpharm Stadium in Huddersfield.
This half day event will provide you with an opportunity to gain a greater understanding of the Leeds City Region and its developing Skills Strategy, particularly in relations to higher level skills and to understand the HE policy context in which the Leeds City Region's Skills Strategy will have to be delivered.

Motivational Maths Workshop

WYLLN will be holding its 3rd annual Credit and Progression Conference on Friday 23rd April at the Royal Armouries in Leeds.
The event will provide an opportunity for delegates to consider the new landscape for higher education signalled by HEFCE and BIS; the skill requirements of the future workforce and predicted demographic changes across the UK; best practice in managing the admission and quality assurance processes for part time learners and employer-responsive provision, the relationship of the QCF to the FHEQ, and to explore the demands which will be set locally for higher education by the Leeds City Region. The WYLLN will be holding the 3rd Annual Celebration Event on Wednesday 7th July at Leeds Civic Hall.
The event will provide an opportunity to review the WYLLN funded activity taking pace across West Yorkshire and the added value this has given to employers and learners throughout the sub-region.
The event will also include presentation of the West Yorkshire Work-Based Learning Awards.
Attendance at the Celebration Event will be made up of key individuals and organisations involved in the higher level skills agenda in West Yorkshire.
We are offering organisations the opportunity to raise their profile within West Yorkshire by sponsoring the West Yorkshire Lifelong Learning Network (WYLLN) 2010 Awards and Celebration Event.
